William Green Acclaimed Financial Journalist, Speaker, and Author of Richer, Wiser, Happier
About the Author
William Green is an acclaimed financial journalist, author, podcast host, and speaker who has spent more than two decades interviewing many of the world’s most successful investors. His bestselling book, Richer, Wiser, Happier: How the World’s Greatest Investors Win in Markets and Life, distills insights from over forty legendary investors—including Charlie Munger, Ed Thorp, Peter Lynch, Nick Sleep, and Sir John Templeton—to reveal powerful lessons that extend far beyond finance. Drawing on a quarter century of interviews, Green explores how the greatest investors think, make decisions, and navigate uncertainty—not just to build wealth, but to cultivate wisdom, resilience, and long-term success in all areas of life. Part investing guide, part self-improvement blueprint, Richer, Wiser, Happier demonstrates that the same principles and practices that lead to financial prosperity—rational thinking, discipline, and a tolerance for discomfort—can help anyone make smarter choices, minimize risk, and create a more fulfilling life. Hailed as an international phenomenon, the book has been translated into 26 languages and recently ranked #1 on a list of the “Top 100 Most Popular Investing Books” on Goodreads.
In addition to his writing, Green hosts the Richer, Wiser, Happier podcast, where he interviews top investors, authors, and thought leaders. His conversations—featured on We Study Billionaires, the flagship podcast of The Investor’s Podcast Network—have included luminaries such as Ray Dalio, Howard Marks, Rick Rieder and Annie Duke.
Green has written for Time, Fortune, Forbes, The New Yorker, and The Economist, and previously served as editor of Time’s European, Middle Eastern, African, and Asian editions. He is also a Senior Advisor at First Eagle Investments and a Non-Executive Director at Findlay Park Partners.
A highly sought-after speaker, Green has delivered keynote speeches and moderated panels across the globe, including events hosted by BlackRock, Prime Quadrant, and the Financial Advice Association Australia. He has also moderated high-profile discussions at the World Economic Forum, the World Future Energy Summit, and a panel of three Prime Ministers in South Korea.

Raves and Reviews
Seldom since John Train’s great The Money Masters, published in 1980, has a book pulled so many compelling ideas together from so many renowned investors. Based on interviews with dozens of well-known money managers, including Jack Bogle, Peter Lynch, Charlie Munger and Sir John Templeton, Richer, Wiser, Happier argues that good judgment is under continuous bombardment from Wall Street’s propaganda machine. The cardinal investment virtues of independence, patience, skepticism and self-control come more easily, argues Mr. Green, when you emulate someone who obviously possesses those same virtues. Then you can cultivate what Mr. Green calls ‘intentional disconnection,’ forming your own ideas away from the crowd. This takes work, and he shows how.”
